We are looking for a CSSD incharge for our hospital. Qualification: B.Sc Nursing/ Microbiology / Other relevant courses. Experience: Min 2 years as Incharge in a hospital. Salary: As per candidature. Location: Kannur Key Responsibilities: Department Management: Oversee the daily operations of the CSSD to ensure efficient and effective sterilization processes. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all CSSD activities. Coordinate with various hospital departments to meet their sterile supply needs. Sterilization Processes: Supervise the cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, packaging, and storage of surgical instruments and medical supplies. Ensure all sterilization processes comply with hospital policies, and national and international standards. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves, washers, and sterilizers, are properly maintained and functioning. Schedule regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance. Inventory Management: Manage inventory of sterile supplies, including tracking usage and ordering replacements. Ensure proper storage and handling of sterile supplies to maintain their sterility. Staff Supervision and Training: Recruit, train, and supervise CSSD staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about sterilization techniques and protocols. Conduct regular training sessions and continuing education for staff to keep them updated on best practices. Quality Control and Compliance: Conduct regular audits and inspections of sterilization processes and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deficiencies identified during audits. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Prepare reports for hospital administration and regulatory bodies as required. Safety and Infection Control: Promote and enforce adherence to infection control protocols and safety guidelines within the CSSD. Participate in hospital infection control committees and initiatives.
